"I've been creating art all of my life, and began painting seriously in 1990 and most of my experience has been with oil portraits. I have been fortunate to have been commissioned in the past by many of the NASCAR race drivers and team owners to paint portraits of them and their race cars and trophies. Many of them are also avid hunters and have commissioned me to paint them and their friends, with their animals. One of my portraits is hanging in the Richard Childress Racing Museum in North Carolina.
In addition to oil and a combination of oil and acrylic portraits, I have painted and sold landscapes, still-lifes, and abstracts. Many of my customers have collections of my work. I have also joyfully painted "Flower Shoes" in watercolors and have done very well, having sold over 900 of these paintings.
I've been selling on Overstock since the last few days of May 2005. I have been with eBay for over 9 years and enjoy approx. 1600 positive feedback to date. My goal is to sell my art at an affordable price that allows everyone to have original, signed artwork. Each painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. No two paintings are alike. They are collected both nationally and Internationally.
I have had the honor of being invited by
DISNEY WORLD EPCOT CENTER
to sell my paintings at their Annual Flower and Garden Festival which runs April - June each year. Whether I'm able to or not, I'm sure that it will be a wonderful festival.
It was thrilling to see one of my paintings featured on OA's home page in the first two weeks that I was listing, plus 7 of my paintings in the top 10. A huge thank you to everyone who purchased my paintings and to all of my special friends and collectors for their support. You know who you are.

How I got the nick name "Chobeeite"
I began selling on eBay over 9 years ago as a hobby and I was successful to the point that I became hooked to the whole idea of internet auctions. My user name 'chobeeite' on eBay (which has since been changed to Brownlee-Art-Gallery) & 'chobeeites' on Livedeal came to me from my daughter after we had purchased some waterfront property in Okeechobee, Florida. She said to my husband and I, "You are now CHOBEEITES", and it stuck with us ever since. It was at the same time that I had signed up with the internet auction and the name seemed easy enough to use as my ID. I was living in Maryland and I am now living in Okeechobee and enjoying the Florida sunshine.
Attention Please Read: Beware of the Copycat Artist who has jumped on my bandwagon and is mimicking my ideas as well as copying other artist's work! She may take customers who are looking for me, I can't prevent that, but it is up to you the customer, to decide if you want an L.S. Brownlee handpainted original painting or not. I've been painting and selling these for many, many years.
Please keep in mind that I do special requests and also matching purses, and will personalize them for you. Some of my favorite paintings were inspired by special requests for shoes that look like a bride's wedding bouquet, special anniversary gifts, birthday gifts, and flowers that match bedroom linen.
